Projection distance calculator
This tool will help you select the right screen size and help to determine
the correct throw distance of the projector. The projection distance
calculator is available for most projectors.
You know the distance (projector position) to your screen
If you wish to calculate the screen size that can be achieved with the
projector from a set distance, click on 'distance'. This allows you to enter
the distance between projector and screen in cm (measured from lens to
screen). You need to select the screen format.
The calculator will provide the minimum and maximum screen size. Any sizes
in between, can be achieved using the zoom of the projector.
You already know the screen width
If you wish to calculate where to position the projector to work with your
screen, you click on 'image size'. Enter the format of the screen and the
calculator will provide the minimum and maximum distance of the projector
from the screen. Any sizes in between, can be achieved using the zoom of the
projector.
